I thought I would do a quick update on us and especially all the fun stuff Cameron is doing lately.
First, Adam is doing well in School. His grades are very good and he is doing a really good job of balancing studying with spending time with us, so I am happy. He is such a cute dad to Cameron, they have so much fun together and he, as always, takes such good care of me. He has been called as an instructor in the Elders Quorum and he is such a naturally good teacher so I'm sure he will do great!
The baby and I are doing good. For the most part this pregnancy has been just as easy as my first, so I can't complain. For about the past week I haven't been able to get comfortable enough to sleep, but who needs sleep right? :) I'm working on adding a few more pillows to the four I currently sleep with so hopefully that will help. :) Every once in a while I find myself laying on the floor playing cars or blocks with Cameron and just have to laugh. I am also getting excited for our baby girl - Brooklyn. As many of you saw, we did choose a name, but we both decided to make sure she looks like a Brooklyn before we finalize anything. I bought her a bedding set on ebay that I am way excited for. It is brand new and comes with like 10 pieces - which means it has curtains, decor and everything - and I got it for $80!! Don't you just love ebay? Anyway, I just had to put a picture of it up! It's pink - I still can't believe we are having a girl!
Now onto Cameron, the really fun one to read about. He does so much funny stuff lately. I have been filling up the journal/book Adam's grandma gave us. The other night Adam and I were just watching him sleep and whispering to each other when all of a sudden he sat straight up in bed. He pointed to his bookcase, said "book" and then went right back to sleep! As far as we know this was his first sleep-talking experience and we laughed so hard! Today I took him outside and thought he could ride his truck down the sidewalk in our neighborhood. He got as far as the driveway and had a blast for like 20 minutes. Our driveway has a slight incline, just enough that he could pick up his feet and ride down with a little speed. He would walk the truck up the driveway, turn around and ride it back down yelling "Whee!" It was entertaining for us both! Most of the time he is so cute and sweet, but he is also almost two and sometimes acts like it so we have started doing "timeout" when he hits. When I take him into his room I tell him that he can come out when he is ready to be nice. So now, when ever he hits and we pick him up to go to "bedroom time" he starts hugging and kissing us immediately. And, as soon as he is in the room he stands there saying "nice" over and over again. How in the world do you discipline a child like that - too cute! :) Okay, now that this is a novel, let me add some of his latest pictures and maybe even a movie.
Cameron was "helping" me put away the laundry and insisted on putting his dad's shirt on. How can you resist "Daddy on pease?" So it needed ironed again, oh well! :)
Here is Cameron getting ready for his baby sister! Some friends of ours from the ward gave us this baby swing and Cameron loved it. He turned on the lights and sounds and had a great time. I finally had to put it away so maybe Brooklyn will get to use it one day!
Cameron took my mascara this morning and I thought - no big deal he can't open it anyway... Wrong!!! Isn't he a great artist?! :)
Okay, here is my try at a video. We don't have a digital video camera, so this is just our little digital camera. Cameron gives a wink and then shows his "sad face" with his lip sticking out. It is so fun because whenever I do the sad face I get an instant hug! I made the mistake of doing it while shooting the video though - that's why he takes off to give his sad mom a hug! :)
