Bath Time Fun

I love that these two are close in age and young enough to play in the bath together! Even when Anniston was tiny they had tons of fun together! They are so fun to watch and it just gets better and better!

You should have seen the looks on my preschool students' faces today as I showed them a globe and explained that we live on a planet that is shaped like a ball! They looked at me...out the window...back at me...and then the very insightful question...

"Why don't we slide off?"

I think now I understand a little better how that Columbus guy felt!

Excuses, Excuses...

Here I am two weeks late...finally posting pictures of Easter. But, I think I have some pretty decent excuses...

• Adam has been at the school/studying for over 80 hours each week for the past two weeks (that works out to be about 14-16 hour days!!) Poor guy! Luckily, rumor has it this is the worst semester of the whole 4 years. Oh, and he ACED his final practical today!! :)
• I am prepping for next years preschool. Every free minute I have is spent planning, copying, filing, and creating! Stress now, easy next year! :)
• My camera has been giving me such issues! I might just throw it out the window! :)

HAPPY EASTER!

I think my favorite part of this Easter was realizing that we really have started our own little family traditions. We would love to move close to family again one day, but for now we are enjoying the blessing of a little seclusion. We had such a fun little Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday morning and a Family Home Evening about the Savior on Sunday. Small compared to everything happening in Utah, but perfect for us right now! 

P.S. THANK YOU everyone for your Birthday wishes! It was a GREAT one, mostly because Adam was home all day! He spoiled me with a long bubble bath, painted my toes before church, put the kids to bed all by himself, and even gave me a massage! Plus, a CUTE new watch! And all this even in the middle of finals! Am I SPOILED, or what!?

I am so on top of things...

I am so on top of things today...

• that I washed my first batch of laundry twice and my second one not at all! I was shocked when I dumped my laundry basket on the bed, ready to fold and put away, to see that the clothes were dirty! The clean clothes had gone from the dryer, into a basket, and back into the wash...while the dirty had stayed untouched in their basket. Of course by the time I realize it, the clean ones were well on their way to a second wash!
• I copied the same wrong page for preschool twice! Guess I'm just prepping for next year...and the next...Right?
• I bought a large carton of eggs and two gallons of milk at the store...only to find a completely full carton of eggs and two full gallons of milk in the fridge! Guess what's for dinner every night this week honey?
• I remembered to call and send a note to a friend on her birthday...just not the right friend! :)
• I didn't realize we hadn't eaten dinner until Cameron asked for a snack at 6:30! Thank goodness for eggs and milk! :)

All in one day! Wow, what a Monday! And on that note...

No Foolin'

I guess we aren't much into April Fools around here...no jokes or tricks...but Cameron and I actually did some celebrating this year! We had BACKWARDS DAY in preschool! I found a great poem about Backwards Town and we spent the day doing everything mixed-up and backwards, learned how to count from 10 to 1, and even used the poem to learn about position words! The kids were a little hyper, but it was a fun day! Here is Cameron all mixed up and backwards...

Mom: What if we give Brooklyn boy hair, and Cameron girl hair?

Cameron (instantly crying): But, I don't want to be a girl! I want to be a boy like daddy!

Oops! After I explained that he wouldn't be a girl, just a boy with a girl hair-do, he was really excited! Oh the mind of a 3 year old!
