Sugar & Spice...

And everything nice! That's what little girls are made of. And, this one is made of extra sugar! Brooklyn is absolutely the sweetest little girl! She is growing up so fast and is quickly gaining quite a personality. She is so quick to smile (especially for her mommy! :) and is such a sweetheart! I just love to see her grin. As you can see in the pictures, this girl doesn't waste time on little smiles - she has the biggest and cutest grin! Between that, her pinchable cheeks, and her double chin - you just can't resist her! Oh, and you should see the rolls on this girl's thighs! It is too cute for words! :) She is also "talking" so much now and has the most girly little voice - I love it! Don't get me wrong - there is some spice mixed in there (Some may say she got that from her mother...I can't imagine why! :) My favorite is when I go to get her after a nap. She will be screaming like crazy and then as soon as I look over the side of the crib, there comes that huge grin!! :) How could you possibly not just love her to pieces?

P.S. Yea for sleep! She is now sleeping from 8 pm to 8 am! 12 hours straight! Am I a lucky mom or what!?

The Classics Baby

In honor of Patrick Swayze (did you know he has cancer?) we got together with a bunch of girls this morning to watch Dirty Dancing. It wasn't quite a "girls night out" - it was 10:00 am and there were kids running around everywhere, but it was very fun! We even watched the music videos at the end and did a little dancing of our own. Too bad the people casting the movie never saw Janna get her groove on - she would make a great Baby! :) Anyway, thanks Shauna for hosting and for the fantastic lunch! This definitely needs to be a new tradition. I'm thinking "Girls Just Want To Have Fun!" next time! You gotta love those classic 80's flicks!

STOP EVERYTHING...

IT SNOWED 3 WHOLE INCHES!! Seriously, it snowed 3 inches in Memphis today and everything shut down!! School was canceled (except Adam's of course - although they did let out early!), and either people stayed home or got in accidents because they have no clue how to drive in the snow!! Adam said that everyone at school was asking the Utah boys how to drive in it! Oh boy, would these southerners be in trouble in Cache Valley! Anyway, Cameron was so excited about the snow! He couldn't wait for dad to get home so he could play in it and build "snowmen at night!" As you can see in the pictures, we don't have very good winter clothes, so he was freezing after building his snowman and having a snowball fight with dad! When he finally came in he was crying because his hands were so cold. He kept saying "I don't like it one bit!" We felt so bad for our poor little guy, so once he calmed down we enjoyed some hot chocolate! Yea for a little bit of home here in Memphis! And yea for the fact that it is supposed to be back up to almost 70 degrees by next week! :)

Can you see our little "snowman at night"?

Blessing Day

This past Sunday was such a wonderful day! The weather was warm and sunny (we actually had a few minutes of snow today - what is that about!?) and Adam did such a great job blessing Brooklyn. I feel so lucky to have such a wonderful husband and family! Cameron is getting his second set of molars and is having a hard time, so he has been a stinker for the past few days, but I still feel like the luckiest mom ever! His grumpiness made our second try at an "un-professional photo shoot" next to impossible, but after some bribery I think we got a few good shots! :) Hope you enjoy...
UPDATE...It looks like this is the only picture that wasn't lost in computer transfers. :(

Our Terrific TWO Year Old

Cameron doesn't officially turn two until March 14th, but with Adam's family here we decided to celebrate early. On Saturday we went to the Memphis Zoo and had such a great time! The weather was perfect - almost 70 and sunny, and we were very impressed with the Zoo! The kids had a great time seeing all the animals, and so did we! They were so funny in the morning when we were talking about going. We asked them both what animals they were most excited to see at the zoo. Cameron said, "Sheep!" and Sydney said "Pigs!" - Lucky for us the zoo had a farm animals section! :) Saturday evening Cameron enjoyed his zoo animal cake and we opened presents. His favorites so far have been Mr. Potatoe Head, a little Harley motorcycle, and the t-ball set. It ended up being a great little Birthday party. I can't believe my baby is two! Here is a picture of the fun day. We also blessed Brooklyn today, so I will get pictures of that up soon. What a great weekend.
