Moving On :(

If you would have told me 4 years ago when we pulled into this scary new place that it would feel like home, that we'd have family here and that we wouldn't want to leave...I probably wouldn't have believed you. But it's true. Leaving Memphis and fantastic friends was so incredibly hard.
Tommie, Me, & Jaimee
Lucas, Brooklyn, & Cameron - Best Buddies!
I'm not going to lie, it's been a rough month for us and we're having a hard time saying goodbye. No luck so far selling the house and we are still trying to figure out the job/financial situation. Thank goodness for good friends who made our years in Memphis our best so far and have been so supportive through this transtition!
I am heartbroken to leave, but excited for our future and the good things to come!

Eye Doctors

Dr. Rudd modeling his great grandfathers glasses.
Does he look professional or what? :)
Oh, and don't forget the future Dr. Rudd.
As of today he wants to be an optometrist like daddy. Tomorrow he will probably say policeman, firefighter, ninja, super hero ... or, more likely...a comedian! :)

SCO Graduation!!!

I'm not sure I can even put into words how I am feeling....incredibly proud, relieved, excited, happy, a little nervous for the future, thrilled...

HE DID IT!!

On Friday, May 20th, 2011 Adam became

DR. ADAM BARRY RUDD O.D.!!
I am so incredibly proud of him and of us as a family. Four years of hard work, long hours and intense study, not to mention juggling family life as well. Becoming a doctor on your own is definitely an accomplishment, but become a doctor while also being an incredible husband and father deserves some kind of metal. I did spend a lot of time as a "single mom" and we missed Adam like crazy during his long hours at school, studying and externing, but I can honestly say that it has been a wonderful four years. This whole experience has been such an adventure for us! Moving to Memphis, making friends that will forever feel like family, and growing so much as a family.
Check me out...I'm a doctors wife! :)
I am so incredibly proud of this handsome guy,
These cute kids are so lucky to have Dr. Rudd as their dad!
We sat in the balcony during the actual ceremony and the kids watched and waited for Adam's name to be called. When they announced "Dr. Adam Barry Rudd" it was quiet except for one cute little boy voice yelling, "GO DADDY!" The audience even gave a collective "awww..." It was perfect!

8 years ago it was just the two of us. When we moved the Memphis we were a small family of 3.5.
We're so lucky to have added two southern bells to the family and to have been able to experience this adventure together!
It was so fun to have Adam's parents and his sister here for the graduation.
My parents even made the trip. Fitting, since my dad was the first one to mention, right after High School graduation, that Adam would be great at the family business.

The kids brought Adam this fun graduation balloon and had so much fun helping me create this candy card. We love you Dr. Rudd and are so incredibly proud of you!

A Little Bling

While Adam's parents were in town for graduation we decided to go ahead and get Anniston's ears pierced. I know not everyone agrees with my doing this so young, but I did the same with Brooklyn and don't regret either one. They are too young to bug or pull at them and cause infection, they don't fight mom or forget to clean and rotate them on their own, and they just look so dang cute. :)

When we got there Adam's dad announced that he was going to hold her and pay to have it done so that she could always say that Grandpa Rudd got her ears pierced. Beyond cute.
Poor girl doesn't even know what's coming...
All done! I know, it looks heartbreaking, but I promise she only cried for a quick minute.
Look how pretty! Grandpa even picked out the studs. I'm pretty sure she loves them.

Spring Soccer 2011

Cameron had another great season of soccer. He has improved so much and had a fantastic team this season, so it was one of my favorites to watch too. I am so proud of our cute little boy, growing so much and becoming such a studly little man.

It really was fun to watch him play. He scored quite a few goals this season and was a great little goalie too!
