TWO!?

I almost have a tear in my eye as I type it...
MY BABY GIRL IS TWO!
I am somehow always sad and excited at the same time as I watch my kids grow up!

Brooklyn is two today and so far from terrible it is ridiculous! She is shy and sweet and girly and giggly and so very much fun! She will show your her "attitude" (arms folded, lips pursed) any time you ask...but it is always followed by her little giggles. Really, this girl is a dream!

Our wonderful day started when we heard this over the monitors...
Cameron (Yelling): "Mom and Dad - it is Brooklyn's Birthday...come get us NOW!"
Brooklyn (Always the Mimic): NOW!
Cameron: Good Job Brooklyn!
All we could do is laugh! :)

Some facts about my incredible two year old...
NICKNAMES: Baby Girl or Little Sister

BEST FRIEND: Definitely her brother! She is always ready to play anything he wants and will follow him anywhere, even when he plays a little rough!

FAVORITE COLOR: "Puple" - her favorite pacifier is this color! Yes, she still has a pacifier but only to go to bed...I don't care if you think she is too old! :)

FAVORITE FOOD: She will eat anything, but she loves blender wheat pancakes and bananas.

PERSONALITY: Shy, sweet, and a little sassy! Even though she is shy, she is great at being babysat and going to nursery...rarely a tear! I love this!

FAVORITE THING TO DO: Definitely wrestling with her Daddy - she gets right in there with the boys, she also loves dancing and taking care of her babies.

TALENT: Speaking French! Or at least that is what it sounds like sometimes. She talks a lot, just half the time in her own language! Luckily I have been able to learn a good portion of this language. The worrier in me is trying not to stress over this!

Here are some pictures of the day! Sorry there are so many - a bunch of them I had to include just for her facial expressions and reactions! She even does the goofy "say cheese" face now! :)

It was a wonderful day including...
*A lot of "Ohh and Ahh" during present opening!
*Taking care of baby and braking in her new diaper bag - she filled it herself...diapers, new burp cloth, and even her cell phone! :)
*Trying out the new bike! No she can't peddle yet, but Cameron had a great time pushing her around!
*Lots of time as a family!!
Happy Birthday Baby Girl!!

I hate needles...Health Report

I have had a lot of sweet people asking me to report on my health, so here you go...

I had my first blood test last week...

It hurt a lot...

Like, REALLY a lot...

I think the girl did it wrong...

but my HCG hormone level went from seriously high...

to 3! :)

Less than 5 is normal...

the doctor was happy and so was I...

until he scheduled my blood test for next month...

I do not love needles...or blood!

Re-Decorate!

While Adam's parents were here visiting we took advantage of his mom's decorating skills (since I am completely missing those!!) and redecorated our bedroom! We are loving the new look! Thanks Kathy!
Adam is also loving his new tv!
With Adam's first set of board exams in March, he has been doing even more studying! The problem was, we didn't have a good study space at home! I kept wishing I could have him close by, so I came up with a solution...
Adam's First Personal Office!
It also happens to be one corner of our closet! :)
Don't worry though, I made a professional name plate and everything!
It has been great having him study at home...even if he is locked in the closet!

New Year Challenge!

Happy New Year!

What a great way to start 2010 - with a new you! :)

On January 11th, I will be hosting another

Feel Great In Eight Challenge

Feel Great in Eight is an eight week healthy lifestyles competition. It includes aspects of physical, mental, and spiritual heath. For eight weeks you will gain and/or lose points based on your healthy or unhealthy choices. Each participant contributes $10 to the prize money "pot". At the end of the eight weeks the competitors with the most points/most weight lost will get a share of the prize money!

This will be my second time hosting/participating in one of these challenges. In our last challenge the winner (me!) won $200, and our greatest weight loss was 36 pounds! One participant went on to lose 60 pounds by continuing with the challenge! I will just be hosting this challenge, not formally participating (the first prize could be yours!), but I will definitely be participating on my own. I finished the last challenge feeling so much healthier, happier, and even stronger spiritually! That is exactly how I want to start 2010!

You can find more information at the Feel Great in Eight blog - HERE.

If you would like to participate in the challenge, leave a comment on this post including your email address, or send me an email to greatin8challenge@gmail.com.
